Coalition of Ministries For Older Adults

Join with other leaders who share a passion for working with older adults in congregational and agency settings. Monthly lunch meetings provide an opportunity for networking, support, advocacy, and learning for clergy, lay leaders, and aging service providers. Meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month (except July, August, and December), 11:45-1:00, at various locations throughout the community.

Depression and Older Adults

Terri Sheard, Old Vineyard Behavioral Health

Older adulthood is often a time of loss and major life change. How is normal sadness and grief different from depression? How is depression treatment different for older adults? Come with your questions on this topic!
This is also an opportunity to see and learn about the new behavioral health facility at Old Vineyard.

The mission of the Coalition of Ministries for Older Adults is to provide opportunities for networking, fellowship, and mutual support for those who work with older adults within congregations or community agencies; to offer a variety of educational programs that will enable those who serve older adults to expand their knowledge of information, tools, and resources; to serve in an advocacy role in the community when issues arise that affect the well-being of older adults.
